Vault of Aeon is a collector game where you summon and collect mythological artifacts across 8 themed sets. This policy explains what data the app collects, why, and how it is handled. We designed Vault of Aeon to collect the minimum data necessary to let you sign in, sync your collection across devices, process in-app purchases securely, and operate the app reliably (crash reporting, analytics, push notifications).
Vault of Aeon can be played without creating an account. If you choose to sign in to sync your progress across devices, we collect the following via Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google:
With Sign in with Apple, you may choose to hide your real email address using Apple's private email relay. We respect that choice and never attempt to link the relayed address to anything else.
When signed in, your collection (which artifacts you own, duplicates, evolutions, set completion, meta-story chapter unlocks, daily streak, and earned seals/rewards) is synchronized to our backend so you can access it from another device or recover it after reinstalling. This data is tied to your account and contains no personal information beyond the User ID.
When you make an in-app purchase, Apple provides us with a signed purchase receipt. We validate the receipt on our server to grant you the corresponding gems, subscription benefits (Mythic Pass), or lifetime features (Eternal Vault). We store the transaction identifier and product identifier to prevent duplicate crediting. We never receive your credit card, billing address, or any other payment details — those remain entirely with Apple.
To improve the app and understand how features are used, Vault of Aeon uses Google Firebase services:
We have configured Firebase to not collect IDFA (Identifier for Advertisers) and we do not use Firebase for advertising, ad personalization, or cross-app tracking. Data is processed by Google in accordance with the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.
If you grant notification permission, we register a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token with our backend so we can send daily reset reminders, Fate Compass rotations, Vault Target alerts, and similar engagement messages. The FCM token is associated with an installation ID (a UUID generated locally on first launch) and, when you are signed in, with your account. You can revoke notification permission at any time in iOS Settings; we will stop sending pushes immediately.
Alongside the FCM token, we store the platform (iOS), app version, build number, and locale so we can target pushes correctly (e.g., not send a "new feature" notification to users on an older version) and so analytics segmentation is meaningful. None of this is personally identifying.
We do not use your data for advertising, ad personalization, profiling for marketing purposes, or any purpose unrelated to running Vault of Aeon.
Vault of Aeon relies on the following third parties only to provide the app:
We do not use Mixpanel, Amplitude, Facebook SDK, AdMob, Adjust, AppsFlyer, or any advertising or attribution SDK.
On-device: App settings, audio preferences, a cached copy of your collection, and an installation UUID are stored locally using iOS UserDefaults and the file system.
Backend: Account data, collection data, purchase transaction IDs, and FCM device tokens are stored in an encrypted PostgreSQL database hosted on Railway. All traffic between the app and our backend is encrypted over HTTPS (TLS 1.2+).
Firebase data: Analytics events and crash reports are stored in Google's Firebase infrastructure, primarily in the United States. Push tokens routed through FCM are likewise handled by Google.
Location of data: Our backend is currently hosted in the United States. If you use the app from another region, your data is transferred to and processed in the U.S. for the sole purpose of running the service.
Retention: We keep your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account (see below), we delete all associated data within 30 days. Firebase Analytics events are retained for up to 14 months by default; we do not extend this. Crashlytics retains crash reports for up to 90 days.

Users in the EU/UK have additional rights under GDPR including data portability and the right to object to processing. Users in California have rights under the CCPA, including the right to know, delete, and opt out of sale (we do not sell your data). We honor these rights worldwide — email us to exercise them.
Vault of Aeon is rated 12+ in the App Store due to simulated gambling mechanics (gacha / loot crate style summoning). The app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we will delete the account.
Vault of Aeon includes optional in-app purchases for gems and subscription benefits. Artifacts are acquired through randomized summoning ("pulls") that feature six rarity tiers and a transparent pity system. All odds are disclosed in-app on the Summon screen. No purchase is required to play — every artifact is obtainable through free daily pulls and regular gameplay. Virtual items have no cash value and cannot be exchanged outside the app.

Vault of Aeon does not request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, contacts, calendar, location, or any other sensitive device feature.
We may update this policy occasionally. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. If changes are material (e.g., adding a new category of data collection), we will notify signed-in users through an in-app notice.

Vault of Aeon collects only what is needed to run the game: your email, name, and user ID (via Sign in with Apple or Google) so you can sign in and sync your collection; your collection and progress so it can move with you across devices; Apple's purchase receipts so we can deliver what you buy; pseudonymous analytics events and crash reports via Firebase so we can improve the game and fix bugs; and a push notification token so we can send the in-game reminders you've opted in to. We use no advertising, no ad identifiers, and no cross-app tracking.
